The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Car Crash

The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in the state of California aged 55.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The celebrated game designer lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, as reported by.

"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
