Twenty-four Nigerian-born Young Scholars Freed After Eight Days After Abduction

Approximately twenty-four West African female students taken hostage from their learning facility over a week ago were liberated, the country's president stated.

Attackers raided the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School situated within northwestern region recently, killing one staff member and abducting multiple pupils.

Head of state the president applauded security forces concerning the "quick action" to the incident - while precise conditions regarding their liberation had not been clarified.

West Africa's dominant power has witnessed a spate of kidnappings during current times - amounting to 250 children captured at a Catholic school days ago still missing.

Through an announcement, a designated representative of the administration confirmed that every student abducted from the school within the region had returned safely, mentioning that this event sparked similar abductions in two other local territories.

Tinubu stated that additional forces are being positioned to "vulnerable areas to prevent more cases related to captures".

In a separate post on X, government leadership stated: "The Air Force will continue constant observation across distant regions, synchronising operations alongside land forces to effectively identify, separate, interfere with, and eliminate all hostile elements."

Exceeding fifteen hundred students have been abducted from Nigerian schools in recent years, when two hundred seventy-six students got captured in the notorious large-scale kidnapping.

Days ago, no fewer than numerous pupils and workers were taken from an educational institution, religious educational establishment, located within Niger state.

Several dozen people captured at learning institution have since escaped as reported by faith-based groups - but at least 250 remain unaccounted for.

The leading Catholic cleric within the area has commented that national authorities is undertaking "no meaningful effort" to save the unaccounted individuals.

The abduction at the institution marked the third instance affecting the nation over recent days, forcing national leadership to cancel his trip to the G20 summit organized within South Africa at the weekend to manage the emergency.

United Nations representative the official urged the international community to make maximum effort" to support efforts to recover kidnapped youths.

The representative, ex-British leader, commented: "We also have responsibility to ensure that learning facilities provide protected areas for learning, not spaces where youths can be plucked from learning environments for illegal gain."
